Plot Teaser

In this novel, Grisham examines the rights of the homeless on the streets of Washington D.C. His vehicle is Michael Brock, a high-priced antitrust lawyer at the fictional law firm of Drake & Sweeney. After a near-disastrous incident inside the halls of D. & S., Brock, much to the chagrin of his friends, family, and supervisors, begins to re-evaluate his priorities in life. In the process, he gets acquainted with life on the inner-city streets of the District. Face-to-face with the homeless, Brock comes to realize the harshness of their existence.
