The Thrawn trilogy

(Redirected from The Thrawn Trilogy)

The Thrawn trilogy (also known as The Three Book Cycle) are the three novels, Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command, writen by Timothy Zahn and set in the Star Wars galaxy about five years after Return of the Jedi.

The series introduced many notable characters, such as Mara Jade and Grand Admiral Thrawn, one of the more notable expanded universe villians, to Star Wars. As well, the capital world of Coruscant got its name in the trilogy. It is regarded by many as the beginning of the new generation of Star Wars novels, as many more novels were written after it were successful.
