The Traveler

In the fictional Star Trek universe, The Traveler is a highly advanced humanoid from Tau Alpha C. The Traveler is exceptionally skilled mentally and is able to make a bridge between space, time, and thought which he, and presumably those of his kind, uses to travel throughout the galaxy.

The use of this power takes a large toll on The Traveler though and weakens him considerably as seen in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Where No One Has Gone Before". In this episode The Traveler is able to take the Enterprise to Galaxy M-33 and ultimately to the edges of the known universe. In this episode, The Traveler is also shown to be capable of sensing this capacity in others as he did with Wesley Crusher.

The next appearance of The Traveler came in the episode "Remember Me", where he was instrumental in rescuing Beverly Crusher from a rapidly collapsing universe brought about by a static warp bubble.

Finally, The Traveler appeared one last time in the episode "Bloodlines ", where he helped Wesley Crusher explore his blossoming cosmic abilities. It is this episode that also clearly shows The Traveler has mastery over time as Wesley stops time, and yet The Traveler is unaffected.
