Pyramid Breweries, Inc.

Pyramid Breweries, Inc., headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is a brewer of craft beers, ales, and lagers under the Pyramid and Thomas Kemper labels and root beer, ginger ale, and other soft drinks under the Thomas Kemper Soda Co. label. It has operations in Sacramento, Berkeley, and Walnut Creek, California in addition to Seattle.
Founded in Kalama, Washington in 1984 as Hart Brewing, Inc., the company bought Thomas Kemper Brewing of Poulsbo in 1992. (Thomas Kemper had been founded in 1985 on Bainbridge Island, and began making soft drinks in 1990.)
Hart Brewing changed its name to Pyramid in 1996 after its best-known brand.
Pyramid's shares trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol PMID. The company went public in 1995.
