Thomas Sørensen

Thomas Sørensen (born June 12 1976 in Odense) is a Danish football goalkeeper, who currently plays for Aston Villa in the English Premiership, after previously being at Sunderland.

Sørensen is also the starting goalkeeper for the Danish national team, the successor to Peter Schmeichel. He has no major honours to his name, but did start for his country at the 2002 World Cup and in 2004, he was part of the Danish 2004 European Football Championship team, who finished top of their group in the pre-tournament phase, qualified from their group in the first round of the tournament, before being beaten by the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals.
