Thoros III of Armenia
Thoros III of Armenia (c.1271-1298) was king of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, ruling from 1293 to 1298. He was the son of Leo III of Armenia and Kyranna de Lampron. In 1292 his brother Hethum II abdicated in his favour; however, Thoros ruled for only five years, dying on July 23, 1298 at the hands of his brother Sempad.
Thoros was married twice; his first marriage, to Marguerite de Lusignan (the daughter of King Hugh III of Cyprus), took place on January 9, 1288. His son was Leo IV of Armenia (ruling 1301-1307).
