Timiskaming (electoral district)
Timiskaming is a former Canadian electoral district. It originally existed from 1914 to 1924, when it was split into Timiskaming North and Timiskaming South.
In 1933, Timiskaming was recreated, and existed continuously until 1993, when it was renamed Timiskaming—French River in accordance with boundaries that had been in place since 1987. However, the name Timiskaming—French River existed only in the 1993 election. In 1996, boundary realignment created the riding of Timiskaming—Cochrane , which existed until 2003; that year's realignment merged Timiskaming with Nipissing to create the riding of Nipissing—Timiskaming .
The riding primarily served the Timiskaming District, but also incorporated parts of Nipissing District, Sudbury District, Algoma District and Cochrane District at various times.
