Titusville, New Jersey
Titusville is a census-designated place located in Hopewell Township in Mercer County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 3,444.
Geography
Titusville is located at 40°18'0" North, 74°51'36" West (40.30, -74.86).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 36.4 km² (13.1 mi²). 36.4 km² (13.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 3,444 people, 1,316 households, and 1,022 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 94.6/km² (262.8/mi²). There are 1316 housing units at an average density of 36.2/km² (100.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 93.9% White, 0.5% African American, 0.0% Native American, 2.2% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.0% from other races, and 3.4% from two or more races. 1.9% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,316 households out of which 30.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.1% are married couples living together, 1.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.3% are non-families. 17.2% of all households are made up of individuals. The average household size is 2.62.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 22.4% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 32.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 94.6 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP is $89,821, and the median income for a family is $103,411. Males have a median income of $81,739 versus $40,824 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $44,648. 0.8% of the population and 0.5% of families are below the poverty line.
