Titusville is a census-designated place located in Hopewell Township in Mercer County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 3,444.

Geography

Titusville is located at 40°18'0" North, 74°51'36" West (40.30, -74.86).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 36.4 km² (13.1 mi²). 36.4 km² (13.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 3,444 people, 1,316 households, and 1,022 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 94.6/km² (262.8/mi²). There are 1316 housing units at an average density of 36.2/km² (100.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 93.9% White, 0.5% African American, 0.0% Native American, 2.2% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.0% from other races, and 3.4% from two or more races. 1.9% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,316 households out of which 30.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.1% are married couples living together, 1.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.3% are non-families. 17.2% of all households are made up of individuals. The average household size is 2.62.

In the CDP the population is spread out with 22.4% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 32.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 94.6 males.
