Tjörnin
Tjörnin is not one of the biggest lakes of Iceland, but it is one of the best known.
Most of the visitors of the capital city Reykjavík will be going along its shores, as it is lying in the center of the city next to the city hall and some of the museums like the galery Listasafn Íslands. The university of Iceland is also situated at its shore.
