Toadette

Toadette is a fictional character in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Party 6, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She is a female version of the Toad species.

Toadette first appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, most likely because Nintendo needed a character to be Toad's partner. However, she seems to be gaining her own identity. Toadette, along with Toad, is unlocked when completing the Special Cup on 100cc. Her car, the Toadette Car, is unlocked in Mirror Mode on the Mushroom Cup.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Toadette guides you through a tutorial whenever you receive a jump or hammer upgrade. Also, if you change the time on your GameCube's clock, the large, brown Bob-omb will mention that someone changed the clock, causing the lottery numbers to mess up, and will mention how, when he told Toadette this, she cried her eyes out.

Toadette can be unlocked in Mario Party 6 by buying her at the Star Bank for 30 stars. She is suspected by some Toad's sister or girlfriend, but it is possible that she's just a friend. Nintendo has never actually said anything about it.

Toadette and Toad have an overlookable cameo in the intro movie to Mario Power Tennis: they appear as an icon to the left on the tournament board that Wario and Waluigi deface.
