Tom Arnold (actor)
Tom Arnold (born March 6, 1959) is an American actor and comedian. He was born in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Tom Arnold was a writer who appeared regularly as the character "Arnie Thomas" in the popular television sitcom Roseanne (which went on the air in 1988). On the set of the program, he met the show's star, Roseanne Barr, whom he later married. The couple's marriage attracted media and especially tabloid attention due to their sometimes outrageous behavior. Arnold and Barr divorced in 1994.
Also in 1994, Arnold appeared as Arnold Schwarzenegger's sidekick in the James Cameron blockbuster True Lies. He played the father on the Outer Limits episode Family Values. As of 2004, Tom Arnold is the co-host of Fox Sports Net's talk show Best Damn Sports Show Period and he also provides the voice for Arby's "Oven Mitt" character in television commercials. In early January 2005, Arnold become the main host of The Best Damn Sports Show Period in a new revised version that resembles a late night talk show (note: as of March 2005 he will only be appearing on this show occasionally; source: radio interview).
