Tommy Amaker
Tommy Amaker is the head coach of the University of Michigan men's basketball team. He took the job in Michigan in 2001, after being the head coach at Seton Hall University. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski from 1988-97.
Amaker was a star point guard at Duke.
As a player, he also won a gold medal as a member of Team USA in the the 1986 FIBA World Basketball Championship.
As head coach, Amaker took the Seton Hall Pirates to four NCAA Tournaments, including the Sweet Sixteen in 2000. At Michigan, his team won the NIT title in 2004.
