Tommy Lee

Thomas Lee Bass (born October 3, 1962) is a musician, initially best known as the drummer for the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe.

Biography

Lee was born in Athens, Greece. His mother was a Greek beauty queen and his father was a Welsh American soldier. Lee had a brief (1995-1998) but famous marriage to Pamela Anderson. One of their private videos was stolen in 1997, which resulted in an example of nude celebrities on the Internet. Lee served four months behind bars after pleading no contest to kicking Anderson.

In 2001, 4-year-old Daniel Karven-Veres drowned at Lee's Malibu home during a birthday party for his son Brandon. On April 17, 2003, a Superior Court jury took less than three hours to reject a wrongful death claim made by Daniel's parents, German actress Ursula Karven and TV producer James (Jim) Veres. The suit accused Lee of negligence for failing to have a lifeguard or someone trained in CPR present during the birthday party.

Lee briefly attended the University of Nebraska in 2004, while filming a reality television show about Lee's effort to fit into the collegiate experience, including trying out for the band (as a drummer). Lee released his autobiography Tommyland in 2004.

Nowadays, Lee is back with the original Mötley Crüe lineup on a reunion tour, which followed the release of a double-disc album entitled "Red, White, and Crüe." Dozens of tour dates have already been played and there remains several months of touring across North America for Lee and his bandmates.
