Tony Alvarez
Antonio Enrique Álvarez [AL-vah-rez] (born May 10, 1979 in Caracas, Venezuela), is a Major League Baseball center fielder and right-handed batter who has played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2002 and 2004.
At 25, Álvarez has been is considered one of the top ten Pirates prospects both by Baseball America and ESPN. He was signed by the Chicago White Sox as a free agent before the 2005 season.
Alvarez is a .250 hitter with two home runs and 10 RBI in 38 games.
