Tony Hawk's Underground 2

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is the sixth installment in Neversoft's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game series, and is the sequel to 2003's Tony Hawk's Underground. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 was released on October 6, 2004 for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Xbox, and Windows PC platforms, and in March of 2005 for PlayStation Portable.

Gameplay

Gameplay in Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is similar to that of previous games. The player skates around in a 3D environment modeled after various cities, and the player attempts to satisfy various goals. Most goals involve skating over or on various objects, or performing certain combos. Scores are calculated by adding the sum of the point value of each trick stringed together in a combo, and multiplying by the number of tricks in the combo. The gameplay revolves heavily around team play in this installment, with the player controlling a group of four skaters (the player's character, the player's chosen pro skater, a guest character, and a hidden character).

Story

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (THUG 2) starts where the previous game left off, with your character having recently gotten sponsored as a pro skater. You are kidnapped by Tony Hawk and Bam Margera to compete in a completely underground, completely insane World Destruction Tour. The winner gets props, and the loser pays the bill for the whole thing. Along the way, you'll stop off in places such as Boston, Berlin, and Australia. An "underground" skatepark named Skatopia, based on an actual skatepark in Ohio, United States is also in the game.

Bit-part characters

Nigel Beaverhausen: The teams meet him on the Berlin stage of their tour in which Nigel makes them an offer but ends up getting ducktaped to his own truck. In Australia he gets his comeuppance from Team Hawk by getting wedgied by a crane and finally being given a tape of Bam Margera's dad on the toilet. Also known as the "old beaverbanger".

List of levels

Classic mode

Possibly in response to the resistance from long time fans to the new format introduced in last year's Tony Hawk's Underground, Neversoft has added a classic mode which will allow players to skate through both new and remade classic levels in the traditional two-minute time limit mode that was present in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, 2, and 3.
