Tradition und Leben
The organisation "Tradition und Leben e.V." (Tradition and Live) was registered January 1959 at Cologne. Prior to that, the constitutional assembly took place Autum 1958.
But the roots of the organisation go far back. Short after World War II Monarchists got together with the motto "Letters for "Tradition und Leben". They followed partly the tradition of monarchical organisations and persons from the Weimarer time (1919-1933).
This mkes "Tradition und Leben e.V." to the oldest organisation of its kind and the most important in Germany.
The aim of Tradition und Leben is summed up by the motto:
We crown democracy!
This indicates the desire for a modern, democratic kingdom.
Germany shall become a democratic parliamentary monarchy.
The principle of the division of the head of state, parliament and the executive will be adhered to.
Germany shall remain a federal state with monarchies and republics having equal rights under it. Dynasties should return to the throne in those German states where the people wish. The interests of the Laender and the state are represented in a system of two houses.
Monarchy shall guarantee the feeling of solidarity in state and Land and strengthen the European idea.
The monarch shall represent the interests of the people and promote public welfare.
We support heredity monarchy as the best guarantee for the performance of duty and exercise of responsibility for the environment for the following generation.
Monarchy shall support integration within Europe and play its part in peace and public welfare.
The aim of creating a modern and democratic kingdom shall be reached by peaceable means. Tradition und Leben guarantees this approach.
Tradition und Leben is determined to become the rallying-point of all German royalists and supports all German former ruling houses.
