Train 48

Train 48 is a Canadian television soap opera, broadcast on Global and CH. The show is broadcast daily, and recorded the same day. It always takes place in a railway carriage of a GO Train returning from Toronto to one of the suburbs, and follows the lives of the characters through their interactions. Although major plotlines are written in advance, much of the dialogue is improvised by the actors. The same-day recording allows for comments on topical news stories to be introduced.

Train 48 is based on the format of an Australian television programme called Going Home.

Guest stars on Train 48 have included politician Sheila Copps, actor Scott Thompson, and former MuchMusic personality Amanda Walsh.
