Transmitter Ehndorf
The transmitter Ehndorf is a medium wave transmission facility for the propagation of the program of "Deutschlandfunk " on 1269 kHz, which was etablished in 1966. The power used for this transmitter is 300 kilowatts (until Mid 90ies 600 kW). It uses as aerial a directional aerial consisting of two 65 metre high guyed steel framework masts, which are insulated against ground. The transmitter Ehndorf is often called incorrectly "Sender Neumünster".
