Trencin Region

The Trenčín Region is one of the eight Slovak administrative regions. It is located in the western part of Slovakia along the Váh river and consists of 9 districts:
- Bánovce nad Bebravou
- Ilava
- Myjava
- Nove Mesto nad Váhom
- Partizánske
- Považská Bystrica
- Prievidza
- Púchov
- Trenčín
The area of the Trencin region is 4 501 km2. There are 274 municipalities, including 18 towns, where about 58% of the region’s population live.
