Trinity Hills
The Trinity Hills are a range of hills in southeastern Trinidad. According to legend, it is after these hills that Christopher Columbus named the island of Trinidad. Columbus had promised to name the next land he discovered after the Holy Trinity. The first land he saw is supposed to have been this group of three hills. However, it is unlikely that the Trinity Hills could have been the first land sighted by Columbus - their location makes it unlikely that they could be seen by anyone who had not already seen some other part if Trinidad or Venezuela.
The Trinity Hills lie between to Guayaguayare and Moruga , on the south coast of Trinidad.
