U.S. Cellular
U.S. Cellular is one of the largest mobile phone companies in the United States. The company was created in 1983 as a subsidiary of Telephone & Data Systems , Inc. Since April 2000, John E. Rooney has been the company's President and CEO.
Shares of U.S. Cellular are traded on the American Stock Exchange under the stock symbol USM.
Many U.S. Cellular phones use the IS-136 and IS-2000 mobile phone technologies.
U.S. Cellular owns the naming rights to U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, and to U.S. Cellular Arena, former home of the Milwaukee Bucks and current home of the Milwaukee Wave.
