UK Sport is the United Kingdom's organization for directing the development of sport within the home countries. It is accountable to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport: disbursing Government funding and acting as the statutory distributor of National Lottery grants.

It is under the direction of UK Sport's Council, as of 2004 chaired by Sue Campbell (appointed for the period from September 2003 to February 2005). Subsidiary organizations fulfill roles for the four individual nations. They are Sport England, sportscotland , Sports Council for Wales and Sports Council for Northern Ireland .

Succeeding the Sports Council of Great Britain , Sport UK was established in 1996 by Royal Charter.
