UNIFON
UNIFON is a phonetic alphabet developed to facilitate learning of English language either as a first or second language. All the recognizeable characters (ABDEFGHIKLMNOPRSTUVY) are in the form of sans-serif capitals. It was created by Chicago economist John Malone in 1959. The names of the letters are words chosen by Malone to better indicate the letter sounds. UNIFON has few supporters and is not widely used.
