Undercard (professional wrestling)
The wrestlers in the undercard are lesser known and less popular than their counterparts in the main events of a wrestling show. Also called preliminary matches, the undercard rarely has any angles or promos, instead focusing on two or more wrestlers in a low profile match. Generally, wrestlers in the undercard are those who do not draw enough heat and therefore are not popular enough to be in the main events. As with many other professional wrestling terms, this term derives from boxing.
