University of Connecticut School of Law

The University of Connecticut School of Law, located in Hartford, CT, is one of the leading public law schools in the United States. Founded in 1921, the Law School is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Its campus, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of the most beautiful of any law school in the United States. The gothic style campus buildings, constructed in 1925 (except for the new library, which was completed in 1996), formerly housed the Hartford Seminary (which has since moved to a new facilty, designed by renowned architect Richard Meier and completed in 1981, just down the street from the law school).

The newly-completed law library is perhaps the finest facility of its kind in the world, and is one of the largest law school libraries in the United States. Two miles from the center of Hartford, the school is located in a neighborhood of large Victorian homes, where many students, staff, and faculty live. The campus is just a few minutes away from the State Capitol, courts and agencies, and the offices of Hartford's law firms and corporations.

There are four scholarly journals on campus, each managed, edited, and published by the students. They are the Connecticut Law Review , the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal , the Connecticut Journal of International Law , and the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal .
