University of Madras

University of Madras is one of the three oldest universities in India (along with Bombay and Calcutta), it was incorporated in 1857. The university is situated in Chennai opposite the Marina beach. It has 4 campuses in Chepauk, Marina, Guindy and Taramani.

In 2002, all engineering courses of the University was shifted to Anna University. The University provides affiliations to many colleges for various courses ranging from BSc to M.B.A.
