University of Texas-Pan American
The University of Texas-Pan American, part of the University of Texas System, is located in the city of Edinburg. Being in the Rio Grande Valley, it serves the southern part of the state with its offerings of bachelor's, masters', and doctorial degrees. Its current student population is roughly 17,000. Most students commute from all parts of the Rio Grande Valley to obtain a higher education.
