Thank you Wikipedian friends for your support. I am not going to make this page some kind of spectacular homage to myself as I did in the past. It is a homage to the spirit of those who are creating a community out of Wikipedia.

I use a pseudonym here on Wikipedia because it is convenient, not primarily because I am trying to hide my real identity, though there are legal effects to creating works under a pseudonym. One such effect that I am aware of is that use of a pseudonym also shortens the period of copyright, see 17 USC §302.

If you want to learn more about me or contact me outside of Wikipedia, I might have inadvertently revealed my identity somewhere in the page histories or on some page that I have edited, but if I have revealed my identity it was a mistake and not with the intention of destroying my pseudonym.

I request that you respect my wish to author my work here under a pseudonym. Thank you. If you need to know my true identity, then please contact me through my email link and I will be happy to tell you who I am and how you can contact me.

Very truly yours,

Alex756.

For homesick Alex.

That was a beautiful end of morning, around 11am (that is, one hour after the sun rise). The snow was blue white and shining. Clear, clean, freezing (right, about -35°C). The only sound was the one of my boots, scritch, scratch, scritch, scratch. Though the sky stayed blue during all day, some small icy cristal bits fell all day long. From where ? I have no idea. They were falling even when in the middle of lakes. Very strange. They were just little silvery speckles falling from the sky, and slowly freezing my eyeslashes.
It was hard taking the picture; my hands were getting cold quite quickly, and the camera battery did not work for more than two pictures in a row.
That is one of the mental picture I will recall. Silvery blue landscape.
Have some good vacations Alex.
