Hey there. I'm Etoile. I'm not too familiar with the way Wiki works, so please be patient with me. I mostly do my writing over at Everything2 (under the same name) so I'm familiar with that style of work. I've only recently begun learning more about Wikipedia, and I like the project so I'm planning to duplicate a few of my better E2 nodes here.

My website is Amanita.net. I also edit at ODP, where I am a meta-editor. I enjoy playing Neopets. You might see me writing about any of the following topics.

Topics of Interest

Deafness - This includes the audiological condition of hearing loss, Deaf culture and community, sign language (ASL and others), deaf education, Cued Speech, and interpreting. This is a lifelong interest for me, and I love my present career as a professional interpreter.

Transportation - Particularly rail travel, both Amtrak and subways (and roller coasters). Also a somewhat morbid interest in airplane accidents.

Alternative Sexuality - Aspects of queer life and history. Also BDSM, particularly power exchange.

Paddlesports - Kayaking in particular.

In the Works

Stub expansion: Cued Speech, Cam Lyman, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Sports acrobatics

Article creation: Rob Hall, U.S. Capitol shooting incident (1998)

Science kits, science lessons, science toys, maths toys, hobby kits, science games and books - these are some of many products that can help give your kid an edge in their science fair projects, and develop a tremendous interest in the study of science. When shopping for a science kit or other supplies, make sure that you carefully review the features and quality of the products. Compare prices by going to several online stores. Read product reviews online or refer to magazines.

Start by looking for your science kit review or science toy review. Compare prices but remember, Price $ is not everything. Quality does matter.
