Like the fox. I read too much Kevin and Kell, it seems. My homepage is hosted off my laptop, but that's offline for the summer. I publish my GPG public encryption key. I have some art on display (mostly photographs of cute lovebirds) on DeviantArt.

I have been at Wikipedia since it was featured on Slashdot around January 20. I became a sysop April 2/3, 2004 (EST/UTC). I tend hang around many meta pages and attempt to perform random useful tasks. :)

I am currently Wikipedia's registered contact with Freenode. That means if you want an IRC user cloak you need to ask me, so I can ask the Freenode staff. Please place confirmation messages here.

  • Nov 15 2004: I redesigned User:Jimbo_Wales per his request on that page. :) -Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 05:11, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Nov 14 2004: It's been a while since I posted in this section... Anyway. I'm running for Arbcom. Vote for me when the time comes. - Fennec (はさばくのきつね) 05:11, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • May 7 2004: I just found out that my neighbors have an unsecured wireless access point. Guess how I found out? Here's a hint: I was sitting on my living room couch at the time. :) If this remains in place, it bodes well for my editing over the summer. If not... ah well, I'll take a temporary boost to my connectivity, I suppose. (The neighbors ended this semester of college the same time I did.) - Fennec 03:40, May 8, 2004 (UTC)
  • Apr 29 2004: Not quite wiki-related, but I got a spiffy new Gmail account! The name is 'Fennec'.
  • Apr 03 2004: I am now a sysop. Fun stuff.
  • Mar 30 2004: The pictures of Orson Scott Card and one of Wait Chapel are up. I also edited MediaWiki:dyk for my first time... mmm, Klondike bars... chicken sexers...
  • Mar 26 2004: Vote for me as an admin, wouldya? :)
    • Update: You're too late. The sun has already set!
  • Mar 23 2004: Orson Scott Card spoke with my freshman seminar class. I've got pictures.... :) One should soon grace his article as well. Yay.
  • Mar 10 2004: Although the situation seems to have calmed significantly I've been up to my (very long) ears attempting to help keep track of User:Bird and the Bird/Brain affair (the name of which was coined by me). This user, and his flock of sock puppets, and his gaggle of IP addresses, posted some rather angry-sounding comments at me and many others, coining in the process what appears to be a new term, "wikiracist", which has been fairly liberally applied. Wow... my first real fan/troll/thing. I must be doing something right. :)
  • Jan 29 2004: TGIF mentioned the Kevin and Kell article on the K&K mailing list, and apparently Bill Holbrook will mention it in the comic's next weekly news update. Wow. He says it's stunning. I find that stunning.
