U.S. Senate election, 2006 (Projection, estimation, I am not sure about this yet)
Democrats defeated six Republicans, took one open seat in Tennessee, and James Jeffords (I-VT) became a Democrat. The Democrats had a gain of 8 seats. The new senate composition is 52 Democrats-48 Republicans.
