Tart Geosynchronous_orbit_derivation up slightly, add link from geostationary orbit to it, tart up Geosynchronous, add the below to orbit
All the above assumes Newtonian (classical) mechanics, and in particular does not take into account any form of relativity. In practice this is a reasonable approximation, although the orbit of Mercury is demonstrably non-Newtonian.
