Proposed policy (ha ha, only serious).

Add net value to Wikipedia. That is, always add more value than you remove.

Consistently causing a net decrease in the quality of Wikipedia will lead to a ban of between one week and one year, to be ruled on by the arbitration committee. Naturally this will be very subjective, but the committee will do its best.

This replaces and obsoletes all other policies and guidelines.

Have fun.

typical ruling

principle: add net value

finding of fact: XXX removed net value

remedy: XXX is banned for a year.

No Nobs

To carry on from the glorious success of the above proposal.

Wikipedia has a strict No Nobs policy (abbreviated NNOB). If you are a nob, or you discover that you are a nob, please do not edit Wikipedia.

This also applies to Wikipedians where "nob" is not a standard derogatory term. Please substitute an appropriate local insult.
