Tim Starling usually handles IP checks, but he's generally reluctant. He's the one to ask, though. Snowspinner 01:21, Mar 31, 2005 (UTC)
Ok thanks. --Lst27 (talk) 01:27, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Your adminship nomination

Okay, you've provided some information which might indicate that you're not Alex Plank. I'm willing to entertain the possibility, but I'm wondering if you'd be willing to answer a couple of questions to satisfy my doubts, as ABCD did. The first question would be, at the school where you are now, are you a student or an employee? --Michael Snow 03:55, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks. The next question is, what year in school are you? --Michael Snow 20:46, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Okay. Hopefully the final question now - this coming Sunday, there is something happening at one of your school's dining halls that I believe might be of significance to you. Could you tell me what event I'm referring to? --Michael Snow 20:27, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Ah, I did misunderstand that. I think at some point you had said on your user page that you were 27 years old, so I was expecting that you were in college, not high school. Anyway, I'm not going to press the identity issue further; it seems that you are where you say you are, and as far as I know that's not where Alex Plank is.
Anyway, whoever you really are (you needn't tell me), I can understand if you give us a made-up identity, because that's one way to remain anonymous. I can also understand not stating your correct age, because there are legitimate concerns for minors communicating with people on the internet. The problem in this case is that you adopted the identity of a real person, not a made-up one, which is in general a very bad idea. I realize that apparently you did this based on pressure and suspicions, but not only did it make you seem untrustworthy, the identity you picked up was well known for being untrustworthy, which makes it that much harder for people to trust you now.
I think you'll be able to overcome this, and I'm more willing to trust you based on what you've told me. It looks like your nomination won't succeed this time around; please wait patiently, continue making good contributions, and I'll consider supporting you next time. --Michael Snow 23:43, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thank You!

Thanks for your reply to my silly question: your user page is quite enlightening. The list of minerals is an excellent idea. Good luck for your rfa. Cheers, muriel@pt 12:15, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

That's fine. I wasn't very careful making those links on my user page, so you can fix any of those mistakes that you happen to find. Academic Challenger 06:34, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Administratorship

Thanks for your comments on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Wilfried Derksen. Your comment made me aware of the necesity of filling in the Edit Summary line in case of non minor edits. It made ma also ware of careful labeling an edit as minor or non minor. I will change my way of editing pages by clearly selecting minor and non minor edits and to fill in an edit summary in the last case. With this comment I would like to ask you to reconsider your vote. Wilfried Derksen = Electionworld 16:28, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
