Baghdad map

Ed g2s -- Image:Baghdad_City.PNG --- I am sure the license information Baghdad_City.PNG is acceptable. I constructed this off of the CIA factbook (see that article) and the insert pics in the left and right hand were from images in that were in Wikipedia already. This graphic is 100% acceptable. NO Copyright infringement. I will see if I can find the exact location ... but the souces were available to be used. I understand the Image use polucy and up hold it. Iraq

It seems as though you restore anything that someone has put in any of the Iraq articles at some point that I have removed. When I removed them, it was for a reason- it was unnecessary, inaccurate, or caused redudancy. I was be very appreciative if you would go through some of this, undo the damage, and tell me when you've think I've unfairly removed something. Thankyou. User:Colinrorr 21:00, Sept 7, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

I've "started" the Free the Rambot Articles Project which aims to get users to release all of their contributions to the U.S. state, county, and city articles under the CC-by-sa 1.0 and 2.0 license (at minimum) or into the public domain if they prefer. A secondary goal is to get those users to release ALL of their edits for ALL articles. I've personally chosen to multi-license all of the rambot and Ram-Man contributions under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License so that other projects, such as WikiTravel, can use our articles. I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all your contributions (or at minimum those on the geographic articles) so that we can keep most of the articles available under the multi-license. Many users use the DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual template (or even MultiLicensePD for public domain) on their user page, but there are other templates for other options at Template messages/User namespace. If you only prefer using the GFDL, I understand, but I thought I'd at least ask, just in case, since the number of your edits is in the top 50 most. If you do want to do it, simply just copy and paste one of the above two templates into your user page and it will allow us to track those users who have done it. For example:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain (which many people do or don't like to do, see Wikipedia:Multi-licensing), you could replace DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual with MultiLicensePD -- Ram-Man 16:45, Nov 24, 2004 (UTC)

Image uploads

Image uploads -- PRiis -- Image:Tesla turbine system.png and Image:TeslaTurbineOriginal.png are both from the patents. Both are from the patent image file . image copyright tags? I'll look @ that article an make the appropriate notations. The images are in the public domain [patent expiration or fairuse, as far as I know. Where I got the images? The USPTO. I edited the images to remove the numbers (clearer pics). Hope that helps. JDR

Unverified images

User:Yann/Untagged_Images. -- automation script) -- Image:Einstein_Refrigerator.png -- image copyright tag : Concerning it'scopyright status? It is from the USPTO. I'll look @ the gfdl and fairuse. Cleaned up from the numbered original ... but it seem last time I looked someone overlaid it with a cropped numbered one. JDR -- hope htat helps.

Wikipedians who blog

Hi! if you have a moment, could you please see to comment? We're interested in learning how Wikinews can work with bloggers; what they might be interested in, how they can take advantage of Wikinews, how they can contribute through their blogs, etc. Thanks! Amgine /talk

Superconductivity and melanin in biotech research and development

Hi. My contributions to Black supremacy brought me to Superconductor, where I noticed your tag as a contributor. Perhaps you'd like to tackle the areas in the above subhead in Superconductor, or in an (as yet unwritten) article on Plastic electronics (the use of organic polymers -- such as melanin -- and their synthetic counterparts in high-tech, electronic applications)? Just a thought. If not, you may want to pass this suggestion/request on to other Wikipedians with whom you are familiar who might have the time and the inclination to do so. I notice you're away temporarily, but I've contacted you in this regard, because you're one of the few contributors to Superconductivity who's a registered Wiki user. Thanks. :-) deeceevoice 15:20, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
