Utility cycling encompasses any bicycling not done primarily for fitness, recreation or sport. It includes commuting, making errands, and delivering goods or services.
Because utility cycling is not performance-oriented, the ideal utility bicycle is designed and built for durability, dependability, reliability, ease of maintenance, and usefulness.
