Vanguard Records
Vanguard Records was set up in 1950 by brothers Maynard and Seymour Solomon . It started as a jazz label, but shifted direction in 1959 by signing Joan Baez, Buddy Guy, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Country Joe and the Fish and others.
