Vari (or Várê, Greek: Βάρη)is a suburban community in the southwestern part of the Mesogeia plain and the southeast shoulder of the Hymettus mountain. Distance from Voula and Varkiza is 2 km each along with the blue beaches, and 4 km west of Agia Marina , and other communities of the southern suburbs. It serves access to the eastern suburbs and Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. Vari is locally known for its many taverns, the "Vlahika".
A road in 2002 linking north of Vari, south of Voula and Koropi began construction to expand to two lanes. In 2004, unofficially GR-85 from Voula to Koropi now has two lanes running southwest to northeast which access to Attiki Odos and Eleftherios Venizelos Airport which opened earlier in 2001.
