Victoria, Laguna
Victoria, Laguna in the Philippines is southeast of Laguna de Bay, 90 km south of Manila and boarded by the Municipality of Calauan to the South West, Nagcarlan to the South East and Pila to the North East. The municipality has a total land area of 2,283.1 has. Which corresponds to 1.30% of the total land area of the province of Laguna. It consist of nine (9) barangays, two (2) are classified as urban and seven (7) are rural.
Victoria was actually a barrio of Pila, Laguna until November 15, 1949 when the late President Elpidio Quirino signed into effect EO 282 segregating this barrio and eight (8) other into an independent community. It’s name was adopted from President Quirino’s daughter Victoria.
