Victory Aircraft
The Victory Aircraft Company started as the Aircraft Division, National Steel Car Corporation of Montreal and the main plant at Malton, Ontario (near today's Pearson Airport) in 1941. It was later sold to A.V. Roe of the United Kingdom and named changed to Avro Canada in 1945.
The creation of the company was to help build the Avro Lancaster KB700 bombers in Canada under contract to A.V. Roe.
