Vincent Priessnitz
Vincent Priessnitz (October 4, 1799-November 28, 1851) originated the alternative medicine practices of hydrotherapy and the Nature Cure , which stressed remedies such as fresh air and mountain water over conventional medicine. He lived in Gräfenberg near Freiwaldau (located currently in the Moravian part of the Czech Republic). In the 19th century he established a world-famous spa.
