Vladimir Beschastnykh
Vladimir Beschastnykh (Владимир Евгеньевич Бесчастных, born April 1, 1974 in Moscow, USSR) is a Russian football striker, the all-time goal leader for the Russian national team.
In his club career that started in 1991, Beschastnykh played for Zvezda Moscow, Spartak Moscow, Werder Bremen, Racing Santander, Fenerbahçe, and Kuban Krasnodar . He currently plays for Dinamo Moscow, having joined the club in 2004.
For Russia, Beschastnykh has scored 26 goals in 71 caps, his first coming in 1992. The 26 make him a national leader, if Soviet goals are discounted (Oleg Blokhin had 42 for the USSR). One of these goals came in the 2002 World Cup; Beschastnykh also played in the 1994 tournament, as well as in Euro 96.
