WAR

World War II was the one of the first massively multiplayer game developed by the creators of SPACE at Coldfire Studios

The Official name is WWII "war of Supremacy. WWII is a massively multiplayer, turn based game that recreates the struggle between the Axis, ( Germany, Italy, Japan) and Allied, (United States, Britain, Russia) powers of the second world war.

The players square off in teams of Axis and Allies and strive to dominate the globe by getting 50 players from their team to dominate the world by seizing the top 50 player rankings. To accomplish this goal players are required to defeat their opponents on the ground, in the air, and over the seas in order to seize control of their opponents land. To frustrate and defend players can increase their forces effectiveness by researching technology, building weapons to increase their armies size, build forts to defend their land, and engage in intelligence activates to disrupt and confuse the enemy. Skilled players may even be able to build the ultimate weapon… the nuclear bomb… to turn their enemies country into a radioactive wasteland.

Despite being text based, the game is highly addictive and challenging to learn and play. The keys to victory are team play and communication. The game is unique in that each team is required to communicate, co-ordinate, and organize the play of hundreds of players into a well-tuned fighting machine in order to achieve victory. New Players are encouraged to join one of the major clans in order to learn to play the game and to make communication with the community easier. Clan recruitment threads can easily be found in the Community forums.
