WXYZ is the ABC affiliate in Detroit, Michigan. Its transmitters and studios are located in Southfield, Michigan. It is one of five local Detroit TV stations seen in Canada on the StarChoice satellite provider.
One of the first owned and operated stations of ABC, the station was sold to Scripps Howard as part of the ABC/Capital Cities merger in 1985.
