Wellington East Girls' College
The Wellington East Girls' College is a state secondary school founded in 1925 on the lower slopes of Mount Victoria. The school was created on unused land near the Hataitai traffic tunnel in Wellington, New Zealand on the Wellington College estate.
As well as New Zealanders, it has recently taught pupils from Cambodia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Samoa, Taiwan, Thailand, The People's Republic of China, and Vietnam.
It shares with Wellington College the administration of the Gifford Observatory.
The architecture of the original building is "interwar ‘stripped classical’ ".
