West End is an inner-city suburb of western Brisbane. The suburb is vibrant and multi-cultural . It contains mostly high density residental properties, including multi-storey blocks of apartments and units. The area's other major attraction is the popular cafe and restaurant scene.
Some houses are covered by heritage laws seeking to preserve the historical character eg. tinned roofing. Contrasting sharply with the older buildings are modern new homes. Prices for all types of properties have been increasing dramatically in recent decades.
