Western Canada Hockey League

This article refers to the professional Western Canada Hockey League, and not the amateur Western Canada Hockey League (junior).

The Western Canada Hockey League, founded in 1921, was an ice hockey league that was later known as the Western Hockey League (1924) after the merger with the Pacific Coast Hockey Association andPrairie Hockey League (1926). The League folded in 1928.

NHL Genealogy

Regina Capitals / Portland Rosebuds eventually joined the National Hockey League and became the Chicago Black Hawks. The Victoria Cougars also joined the NHL, becoming the Detroit Red Wings.
