Whaley House is one of Marshall, Texas's landmark Victorian homes. Built by Paul G. Whaley, a prominent local businessman, in 1886, it reflects the grand opulence of the Victorian era, as tastes shifted from clutter towards elegance. All of the original leaded glass transoms and windows are in place, and the woodwork and floors remain unpainted, finished in a dark glowing patina of cared for antiquity.

This magnificent 24 room structure highlights original leaded glass transoms, seven hand carved fireplace mantels, egg and dart trim, beamed ceilings, cut glass French doors, polished wood columns and oak flooring.
