Whip-Smart is the second album by American singer/songwriter Liz Phair, released in 1994. (See 1994 in music). The album was accompanied by a commercial blitz, given the massive critical reaction og her first album Exile In Guyville released in 1993. Despite the strength of the first single "Supernova" on the rock charts, the album received mixed reviews and never became the smash hit it was expected to be. It's #27 debut was strong, but in the end it just went gold and the second single flopped. Recently the album has been reevaluated and has gotten more credit.
