Wicket W. Warrick

Wicket Wystri Warrick is a fictional character from the Star Wars universe.

Wicket is an Ewok, from the forest moon of Endor. Ewoks are small, tree-dwelling primitives who live in thatched huts high in Endor's treetops. Ewoks rather resemble teddy bears.

Wicket was the first Ewok to make contact with the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Endor, when he met Princess Leia Organa. Although initially fearful of each other, Wicket eventually took Leia to his village. It was not long before the rest of the Rebels arrived, having been captured and nearly used as food by the other Ewoks.

C-3PO, who the Ewoks thought was a golden god, convinced the Ewoks to aid the Alliance. The Ewoks and the Rebels successfully held off the Galactic Empire's Imperial Stormtroopers and destroyed the shield generator protecting the second Death Star. After the superweapon was destroyed and the Emperor dead, the Rebels and Ewoks celebrated together in the forests of Endor.

Wicket's fate after the fall of the Empire is unknown. Some reports say that Wicket eventually married his longtime friend, Princess Kneesa, and became chief of the village when Chief Chirpa, Kneesa's father, died.

A grimmer theory holds that Wicket and the other Ewoks perished from the nuclear fallout from the explosion of the Death Star II in Endor's orbit; see Endorian Holocaust. No clear conclusions have been reached.

In Return of the Jedi, Wicket was played by Warwick Davis which is the origin of the name Warrick. Wicket appears in The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: Battle for Endor, and was also the star of the Ewoks animated television series.
